OBITUARY
Sir Felix Schuster London, May 14. The death has occurred of Sir Felix Schuster, merchant and banker. Sir Felix Schuster was born in 1854 and was educated in Germany, Switzerland ami England. He was a member of the Royal Commission on London Traffic in 1903-6. the Board of Trade Commission for the Amendment of Company Law in 1905, the India Office Committee on Indian Railways, and the Treasury Committee on Irish Land Purchase and I'inance in 1907-8, nnd from 1906 to 191t> was a member of tlie Council of India. In banking he had a distinguished career. He was governor of the Union of London and of Smith’s Blink from 1895 to 1918. and a director of tbe National Provincial Bank, and has been chairman of the council of the London Chamber of Commerce and president nnd ehairman of the council of tlie Institute of Barkers, as well as chairman of the Central Association of Bankers and deputy-chairman of Hie Loudon Clearing Committee. Tn 192;> he was president of the British Bankers’ Association, and he was also a governor of University College, London.
