TAKING THE OATH
More Naturalisations Another batch of foreign-born nationals who have been granted certificates of naturalisation appears in the current issue of the Gazette. Sixtysix emigrants representing 14 nations are the latest additions to those who have become British subjects. Of the 66 whose names are set out in the Gazette no fewer than 16, or almost one-quarter, are Italians. All of them took the oath of allegiance to the King of England in January, February and March—the majority in January. Twenty-two, or one-third of the list, are Yugoslavs. The rest are in groups of twos and threes from several nations.
