Port Nicholson and Petone The Port Nicholson Amateur Cycling Club will open its road season at Island Bay tliis afternoon. Starting from Derwent Street, the riders will do two circuits of the Happey Valley-Island BayLyall Bay course, finishing in Derwent Street, a distance of 21 milc-s. Several new members are among the entrants, including 1 ? . Franklyn, the well-known Pahiatua rider. s patron, Mr. A. IL Thomas, will dispatch the first rider at 2.30 p.m. The following handicaps have been declared by the club’s handicapper, Mr. I’. N. Robinson :—O. Disley, F. Franklyn, K Wilson, scr.: J.
