STONEMASONS’ WAGES
Dispute For Arbitration Court No agreement was reached by the assessors for the employers and employees when the industrial dispute between stonemasons and their employers was continued before a Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. S. Ritchie, at Wellington yesterday. The employees applied for a Dominion award, and although agreement was reached on all machinery clauses, no solution was found to those relating to wages and hours of work- It was agreed that overtime should be paid t’or at the rate of time and a half and then it was decided that the other clauses should be referred to the -Arbitration Court.
