Pete Mchringer was awarded a points decision over Lofty Blomlield last evening after each had secured a fall. Mehringcr took the first fall in the fifth round with an Irish whir> bold and Blomlield evened in the seventh by means of his recentlyperfected specialty, the octopus clamp, which he applied for the first time in the Dominion. It. is a type of reverse deathlock. The bout was fast and exciting throughout, Mehringe.r proving a popular winner.
