A hat check girl and three other persons were killed early this morning in a panic following a tire in a cabaret. An entertainer was performing a dance with a burning torch in each hand when an onlooker attempted to light a cigarette from one of them. The dancer jerked it away and, in doing so, ignited the papier maehe decorations. In a moment the room was enveloped in flames.
