Wellington’s Power Charges
Willi Hie extension of its service the I'llectriclty Department has been enabled lo decrease its rales to Ihe consumers, and now Hie charges' are the lowest in New Zealand. From May 1 the following rates have been charged:— Units cacii
Water-heating charges are:—(a) Fixed charge of Gd. a mouth each 100 watts of heater capacity for supply provided daily between 10.30 pm. nd 730 a.in., plus 1/a month rental of time switch. The current used between these times is not inetred. (b) Water-heaters of approved type and size fitted wilh thermostats are supplied under lhe ordinary domestic tariff, or alternatively thus: 000 watts capacity, £5 a year, <S/4 a month; 1000 watts capacity, £lO a year, 16/8 a month.
