Found guilty by a jury in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday, of assault with intent to commit a serious offence, Stanley Winwood McKissick Reid was remanded by Mr. Justice Blair for sentence. On the suggestion of counsel for accused, his Honour agreed that while awaiting sentence the prison doctor should make an observation of prisoner. The assistant Crown prosecutor, Mr. C. Evans-Scott, conducted the prosecution, and Mr. J. A. Scott appeared for accused. The jury retired for two hours before reaching a decision.
