MOTOR TRANSPORT
Minister Confers With Operators Under the auspices of the Motor Transport Federation, a conference was opened in Wellington yesterday to discuss the provisions of the Transport Amendment Bill. Mr. D. Bauchop presided over the conference, which was held in private, and will be continued to-day. The Minister of Transport. Hon. R. Semple, attended the conference in the morning and outlined the views of the Government in regard co transport matters. The proposals were then considered in committee. The Minister agreed to meet the members of the conference this afternoon, and hear any representations which they may wish to make to him.
