Ten large faulasi (rowing-boats), containing 350 men and flying Mau flags, appeared off Apia Harbour on Friday afternoon, later landing on the beach road between the Mulivai and Vaisigano Rivers. The Mau of Malaga, from Savaii. was headed by Autagavai. a notorious chief of the Palanli. They stated that they intended to parade publicly through Apia. On Saturday afternoon they paraded from Tapes# to Vaimoso, with bands and Mau flags, and held a ceremony of presentation of foods to the Mau central committee, now assembled at Vaimoso. i Since the middle of April, Malaga parties have been arriving at Mulifanun from Savaii, camping in the villages between there and Apia. It was their intention to reach Apia on Anzac Day and parade with brass bands and Mau flags and wear Mau uniform, but the weather delayed them. There has been no disorderly conduct and no police action has been taken.
