LONDON TO GLASGOW
Fast New Train Service (Received May 3, 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, May 1. The London, Midland and Scottish Railway will inaugurate on Monday the fastest service from London to Glasgow in railway history. The “Midday Scot” will leave Euston at 2 o'clock and reach Glasgow 7 hours 35 minutes later, completing the 4011 miles at tin over-nil average speed of 52 9 miles per hour. Further, 747 other London. Midland and Scottish services are being accelerated as part of the summer programme starting next week.
