NEWTOWN CROQUET CLUB
After several adjournments owing to unsuitable weather, the members of the Newtown Croquet Club closed their playing season last Tuesday. There was a good attendance of members, and a series of competitive games was played, the winners being: Angles, Miss Petersen; breaks, Mrs. Meek; peg, Mi«s Adams; French, Mrs. E. Vine; golf, Mrs. 11. Jupp; to-and-fro, Mrs. Burton The results of the club competitions played during the season are as follow: —Underwood Cup, Mrs. M. Smith; Martin Cup, Mrs. W. Press; Remington Cup, Mrs. M. Smith; Underwood Brooch, Mrs. E. Vine. Miss Petersen (president) congratulated the winners Gifts of appreciation were presented to Miss Petersen aud to the captain, Mrs. Meek.
