CHAIN STORES SOLD
Australian Transaction (Received May 1, 12.16 a.m.) Melbourne, April 30. It is announced that the chain store business of the Alfred Edments Proprietary, Ltd., consisting of 14 branches in Victoria and one each at Adelaide and Hobart, has been sold to Woolworths, Ltd., for a price of approximately £200,000 cash.
