PARISHIONERS’ MEETING
St. Hilda’s, Island Bay There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of St. Hilda’s Parish, Island Bay, this week. Both the vicar and the churchwardens presented satisfactory reports, and the balance-sheet and statement of accounts were adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year Vicar’s warden, Mr. E. J.' .Smith: parishioners’ warden. Mr. W J. Hart; Messrs. 11. Hitchins,' T. W. Gibson. S. T. Dibble. P. Whittle, W. J. Hutchings, C. E. Proctor, H. It. Cook, J. Harris, D. F. Markin and A. N. Palmer. Messrs. Hitchins and Dibble were also elected joint secretaries. Mr. E. J. Colley was appointed honorary auditor, and parochial nominators were elected as follows: Messrs. E. J. Smith, T. W. Gibson, W. J- Hutchings,, and A. N. Palmer. , An informal supper was served afterward in the club-room.
