PLUNKET SOCIETY
Waiwetu Annual Meeting Mrs. A. J. Nicholls presided at the annual meeting of the Waiwetu subbranch of the Plunket Society in the Birch Street. Hall on Wednesday afternoon. Apologies were received from the president, Mrs. D. B. Robinson, and Mrs. Brough. Mrs. Nicholls welcomed Mrs. J. W. Andrews, mayoress, and president of the Lower Hutt branch, and the secretary, Mbs. Cameron. Nurse Coppock’s report revealed that there had been 3325 visits during the vear to the rooms, and the nurse had attended 3G6 cases in their homes. The nurses expressed gratitude to the committee for their support during the year. Mrs. Nicholls spoke of the possibility of building a plunket room on the reserve which has been set aside for that object.' It was decided that the building fund lie separate from the general funds, and Mrs. D. Robertson and hire. Olphert were appointed trustees. Mrs. Hamilton was accepted as a new member of the committee. ' . The election of officers resulted in Mrs. C. B. Robinson being re-elected president, Mrs. Nicholls, who was treasurer, is now a vice-president, and Mrs. Connell treasurer. Mrs. A. C. MeDiarmid was re-elected secretary, the committee remaining as before. Mrs. MeDiarmid expressed pleasure that the finances of the sub-branch were jn a healthy condition.
