NEW MOTOR-VESSEL
For Trans-Tasman Service A new motor-vessel of 1500 tons in to be built shortly in Scotland for the Watchlin Shipping Company, and Captain A. F. Watchlin is now on his way to England to supervise her building, and later to bring the new vessel out to New Zealand. The Watchlin Line at present owns and operates the twq motor-ships Port Waikato and Port Whangarei. maintaining a regular service between Auckland. Wellington and South Island ports. The Port Waikato is also used in the company’s intercolonial cargo trade. When the new and larger vessel arrives in New 'Zealand waters she will be used exclusively in the traus-Tasman cargo service, enabling the two present ships to maintain a more frequent service on (he New Zealand coast, while the new vessel will provide a more regular intercolonial service.
