AERO PAGEANT

Machines to Visit New Plymouth Seven service machines will be flown to the North Island pageant of the New Zealand Aero Club at New Plymouth. Three Vickers Vildebeest torpedobombers will attend from Hobsonville Air Base (Auckland), and there will be three Avro trainers from Wigram Aerodrome (Christchurch). A fourth Vickers Vildebeest will be flown to Wellington from Christchurch to-day by Squadron Leader J. L. Findlay, and Wing Commander T. M. Wilkes. Director of Air Services, will go in it to New Plymouth. The Wellington Aero Club will be represented by four machines. Mr. IL Smillie, with Mr. E. Liverton as passenger, flew a Moth to New Plymouth yesterday and to-day Mr. K. G. Smith, with Miss J. Prime as passenger, will leave in another Moth. Mr. H. C. Walker will fly the Miles Hawk in which he and the late Squadron Leader M. C. McGregor competed in the centenary air race from Melbourne. Another Moth will be flown to New Plymouth to-ruorrow.
