January Butterfat Pay-out

Levin, February 10. At this month’s usual meeting of the directors of the Levin Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., it was decided to make an advance pay-out of lOd. per lb. for butterfat supplied during January. This is a penny in advance of the pay-out for the corresponding month last year. According to reports production for January shows an increase ef 6 per cent, over that for the same month last year.

School Affairs. Approximately 50 new pupils, five and six years old. were admitted 'at the'local school last week. Miss O. Milnes, who has been on exchange in Natal, South Africa, resumed her position on the staff of the Levin District High School last week. Miss Cooper, of AVhakatane. who was appointed to the position of commercial mistress nt the local school, in place of Miss B. E. Pengelly. who received an appointment at the Christchurch AA cst High School, has arrived in Levin.
