Gisborne Sale Dominion Special Service. Gisborne, January 18. At the Gisborne sale fat sheep, ewes, sound mouths, made 14/11; others, 12/to 13/2; medium weight wethers, 19/7. Stores: An entry of 8000 met a brisk demand for all classes. Ewes, G-year, sound mouth, 17/6 to 18/9; 5-year, 22/9; 4tootlis, ordinary condition, 24/-; 4, 6 and 8-tooths, 23/9; two-tootbs, 'size and condition, 25/-; small and ragged, 19/2; •wethers, good four-tootlis, 20/3; twotooths, good 18/6 to 18/11; medium 16/10 up. Lambs, all sizes, maintained a keen demand, Best ewes, 17/11; mixed, 16/2: wethers,' 14/10; shorn, good frame and condition, 15/3; failing-mouth ewes for fattening, 10/- to 11/-. Pongaroa Sale Dominion Special Service. Masterton, January 20. Being the first sale of the season at Pongaroa indications for good prices were in evidence to-day when a fair yarding of shee'p and a few heifers were offered, to a good attendance of buyers, including purchasers from Dannevirke, Pahiatua and Mustei’ton. Dalgetys report making a total clearance at'the following values:
Sheep: Good (w°' too th wethers, to 21/7; good b’.f. rape lambs, to 17/6; w.f. wether lambs, to 16/6 ; smaller b.f. lambs, 12/7 to 14/-.; small m.s. lambs, to 10/-. Cattle: Fiftecn-month P.A. heifers, to £3/15/-.
