Following are the results of the finals of the Hawke’s Bay tennis ebampiouships played during the week-end at Dannevirke: —■ Men’s championship singles: J. O. Charters beat J. W. Gunn, 6-1, 6-0. Women’s championship singles: Mrs. R. Swann beat Mrs. Mawson, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4. Girls’ championship singles: Misw J. Bottrell beat Miss K. Pears, 6-4,' 7-5. Boys’ championship singles: S. Hooper beat R. IS- Slater, 6-1, 6-1. Men’s championship doubles: Charters and Pearce beat Fisher and McCarthy, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Women’s championship doubles; Miss Plummer and Mrs. Swann bgat Mrs. Mawson and Miss Bradley, 6-2, 6-3. Combined championship doubles: McCarthy and Miss Whisker beat Madden and Mrs. Mawson, 1-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Men’s handicap singles, A grade: S. Hooper beat W. Hooper, 9-7. Men's handicap singles, B grade: R. Shand beat J. Giblin, 9-2.
