Noted Woman Preacher Injured

ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON

As the result of a full on board ship about a week ago, the Rev. Dorothy Wilson, B.Litt., a passenger in the Remuera from ’London, was unable to come ashore when the vessel arrived at Wellington yesterday. Site is suffering from slight concussion, and acting on medical advice, is resting for another day or two. Dr. Wilson, who is assistant minister of tlie historic church of Carr’s Lane. Birmingham, was formerly secretary of the young people’s department of the Presbyterian Church in England. She is one of the few women who have been ordained to the ministry. She is also a writer of well-known hooks on religious education. The church with which she is at present connected —the Church of Carr’s Lane —was made famous by the ministries there of Robert William Dale, a noted English Congregationalist divine and educational reformer, who was pastor of the chapel from 1859 until his death in 1895; also Dr. Benjamin Jowett, scholar, theologian, and master of Balliol College, Oxford. Dr. Wilson intends to remain in Wellington for several weeks and will preach during her stay.
