Street Day For Children’s
Homes
Those upon whom is laid the responsibility of maintaining the Children’s Homes of the Wellington Diocese must be greatly encouraged by the fine response to the appeal of the Social Service Board on its "street day,” September 24. Each of the city and and. suburban parishes took charge of a station, and supplied collectors for the day. Great credit is due to the Social Service Board for its careful arrangements which worked very smoothly. Mrs. Sprott and her helpers had a “shop” in St. Paul’s schoolroom, which again did very well. The total receipts amounted to £313 (including donations since received).
