Mrs. I. Gotlieb, Wellington, is on a visit to Auckland, and is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Riffkin.

Mrs. M. E. Thurston, London, is the guest of Mrs. Charles Gray, Pukerua Bay.

Mrs. Norman Beetham and the Misses Aila and Beryl Beetham. Wairarapa. are visiting Auckland.

Dr. and Mrs. Lottis Cohen. Karori, are in the north and will return to Wellington shortly.

, Mrs. J. T. Caldwell. Maungaturoto, North Auckland, is visiting her sister, Mrs. R. A. Gower, Petoue.

Mrs. Morton-Jones, who has been visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. T. Hine, Wangafiui, has returned to Wellington. .' Miss Barbarti Kebbeli. Alfredton. who has been staying with Mrs. Frank Leckie, Heretaunga. will return home to-morrow.

Miss Olive Porter, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. Norman ■Noakes, Auckland, returned to her home, Bolton Street, yesterday. Mrs. Walter Syme and Miss E. Murdock, Hawera, are visitors to Wellington and are staying at the Empire Hotel.

Mrs. Gordon Minims is staying with her parents, the Rev.'and Mrs. F. N. Taylor, Christchurch, until after the wedding of her brother, the Rev. David Taylor, to Miss Celia Twyneham. She will leave for Wellington at the end of next week to take up her residence here.

Mr. ami Mrs. William Allan and i heir small son left Colombo by the Strathaird on August 4, en route for New Zealand, where they intend spending several months. They will join the Maunganul in Sydney, and arrive in Wellington ext Monday.

Sister M. M. Brown, sister-in-eharge of the infectious diseases block at the Wellington Public Hospital, has resigned, and has been appointed district nurse at Paekakariki. Miss L. K.
