MAN FATALLY SHOT
Companion Not Awakened From Sleep

Christchurch, August 29.
A young man of 23, A. R. Harris, was found shot this morning in ft whare at Darfleld. He died, later in the Christchurch Hospital without regaining consciousness. As a companion named Armstrong, who slept in the but with Harris, did not wake until the alarm clock went off at 7 o’clock, there are no clear indications of the circumstances in which Harris met his death.
