Jubilee as a Municipality

Gore to-day is in gala garb for the public celebration of ils jubilee iis a municipality. 'The decorations are lavish and the town presents a brilliant picture at night, being festooned. with coloured lights. A carnival programme includes processions, street dancing, and sports. The festivities will continue till Saturday night. In a Rugby football match to-day Otago University defeated Eastern Southland by 21 points to 17.
