SALESMAN REMANDED
Alleged False Pretence The obtaining of £47 from George Diack by a false pretence was alleged against Marcus Jackson, salesman, aged 28, in the Magistrate’s Court, Welling; ton. yesterday. On the application of the’police Jackson was remanded by Mr. E. D. Mosley; S.M.. until September 18, bail being allowed. A charge of indecently assaulting a 15-year-old boy in Wellington on August 1 against Herbert John Alexander Taylor, aged 54, was dismissed. Taylor pleaded not guilty, and the magistrate remarked that the'evidence of the boy was uncorroborated. Mr. R. H. Boys appeared for Taylor. (
