Final League Competitions The final evening of the Wellington Men’s Basketball League was hold at the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium last night. The Gym. A team won the A grade competition, and the Island Bay Surf Club B team won the B grade competition.

Results are as follow: — A grade trials: B team beat A team by 12 pointe to 8. The scorers for the B team were Thorpe (3), H. Reader (1), Min toft (1), and Tobin (1). For the A team the scorers were Watts (2), T. Reader (1), and Clarke (1). B grade trials: B team beat A team by 14 points to S. The scorers for the B team were Dandy (3 and penalty), Burnette (1). Hall (1), and R. Jacobi (a penalty). For the A team the scorers were Luke (2 and a penalty), Redmond (1), and Baird (1). Final of the A grade scries: Residents beat Gymnasium by 16 points to 12. The scorers for Residents were Emmerson (5), Oliver (2), and Richdale (1). For Gymnasium the scorers were Burns (5), and Lawson (1). In a match between the Y.M.C.A. women’s team and the Y.M.C.A. Gymnasium the former won by 9 points to 8. The scorers for the women’s team were Miss Young (4), Miss Ainsworth (4). and Miss Norman (1). For the Gymnasium team the scorers were Lawson (4) and Burns (4). The match was played under the rules for women’s basketball.
