By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.
(Received August 27, 10.25 p.m.) Washington, August 26. The Soviet. Ambassador, M. Alexander Troyanovsky, countered United States apprehension over Russian Communist activities with a blunt reference to anti-Soviet campaigns in the United States. “Anything said at Moscow by American citizens about the United States is very insignificant compared with the continuous propaganda in the United States against the Soviet Union,” be said. "It is obvious that my Government will not interfere in the internal affairs of the United States in this or any other matter.” The United States protest against the violation of pledges against iruerference in American affairs would be replied to by his Government, and not by him. In the meantime the State Department awaited silently the Soviet reply to its Note, which was made public at Moscow. BRITAIN ALSO ACTS Strong Protest Made (Received August 27, 7.30 p.m.) London, August 27.
