There was again only a small yarding at the Waipukurau sale to-day. A pen of eight lightly-finished P.A. bullock!, made £8; 4 Hereford bullocks, £6/16/-; 7 ditto, £6/12/6; prime Jersey cow, £4 11/-; 4 lightly-finished P.A. steers, £6 15/-; 2 Jersey cows in calf, £3 ; 4 Jersey heifers in calf and one just calved, £3/2/6. Sheep: Six prime wether hoggets, 23/7; 80 medium, 18/6; prime ewe, 23/3; 80 prime ewes,. 16/6; 16 others, 14/-; 8 prime wethers, 24/3 ; 80 good store wether hoggets, 19/-; 37 others, 14/5.
Paliiatua Sale
Paliiatua, August 27.
There was a fair demand for dairy cattle at the weekly Paliiatua sale to-day, when Dalgety and Company offered a small yarding. Sheep: Light fat.wethers passed at 23/-. Cattle: SJnriuging heifers, £3/7/6 to £5/10/-; heifers, r.w.b., £l/10/-; springing cows, £4 to £5; light fat bullocks, £6/2/-.
