To-day’s Recipe BROWN CREAM ROLL
Beat together 1 cup sugar and 3 eggs till creamy; add 2 tablespoons boiling milk; then stir in 1 cup flour, 2 teaspoons cinnamon and a teaspoon spice (sifted together), and lastly, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar and i teaspoon bicarbonate soda.
Spread on a baking slide previously greased and papered, and bake in sandwich oven. When done turn on to a paper sprinkled with sugar and cover with damp cloth for a few minutes. Peel off paper and roll up. When cold; unroll and fill with whipped cream.
