Mornington Beats Greytown

WIN BY TWO GAMES A team of 26 players travelled from the Mornington club at the week-end io play a friendly game with the Greytown club. Weather conditions were ideal and everyone enjoyed the match, which was closely contested, Mornington winning by two games. In the fourballs Mornington won six games to four games, with three games squared, ami iu the singles both sides won eleven games, with four games square. The results were as follow. Mornington Ladies The bogey competition for the vice-pre-sident’s trophy was played by the Morn; ington ladies’ club last week-end. and was won by Miss Robertson, who finished 5 down, Miss Allen coming next, with 6 down. Waiwetu Ladies’ Club The weekly stroke competition played by the Waiwetu Ladies’ Club last weekend was won by Mrs. L. Johnston with 98-31-67, who scored three points in the Winter Cup. Mrs. Hatfield. 91-21-70. ami Mw. Chambers, 96-26-70. scored two points each, and Miss Dixon, 96-25-71, scored one point. Tn the final of the ladies’ Pulley Cup, Mrs. Hatfield (21) beat Mrs. Ttynn (19), 2 and 1.
