BRITISH LEGION VISIT

London, July 24.

The national chairman of the British Legion, Major F. W. Fetherston-God-ley. upon his return with members of the legion from Germany, said there was no doubt that there was a genuine wish on the part of the German man in tiie street for friendship with Britain. He added that he was sure this feeling was not inspired by a political motive or by propaganda. Herr Hitler had impressed him as a practical idealist. He said most definitely that ex-ser-vicemen should come together and assist in ensuring peace. The delegation hoped to arrange an exchange of visits between children of ex-servicemen.
