MEDICAL ASSOCIATION AND LORDS

By Telegraph. — Press Assn.—Copyrlgat.

( Received July 24, 7.45 p.m.) London, July 23. Measures against chemical warfare were discussed by both Hie House of Lords and the Medical Association. Tiie latter, while urging that instruction for protection should be given medical students, post-graduates and tlie public, passed a resolution that it would itself use its influence toward the abolition of such warfare. Dr. A. T. Jones said there could not be adequate protection against deadly poison gas. It was a travesty of human intelligence if they were unable to secure its prohibition. Lord Favershiun, in tlie House of Lords, said he had been informed by experts that it was easier to provide protection against gas than against high explosive bombs. The Government was . designing a respirator which would supply protection in all cases.
