Magistrate Orders Flogging

Blenheim, July 24,
Three small brothers appeared in the Children’s Court to-day and pleaded guilty to smashing thirty electric insulators. The police stated that in the last twelve months 300 insulators had been broken in various parts of the district.
The magistrate remanded the children and ordered them to be flogged by their father. "If he doesn't do it. I’ll order it to be done by a constable,” he said.
