League of Mothers Meeting
The presidents and secretaries of the League of Mothers of the. Wellington province met at the Wellington Y.W.CA to discuss the business of the branches. Mrs. Charles White presided. Before commencing- the business of the day. Airs. White referred to the loss sustained by the League of Alothers through the death of Aliss Clarke Johnson, who for some time was treasurer and assistant secretary for the province. Members stood as a token of sympathy. Presidents from Palmerston. Masterton, Featherston, Greytowu and Carterton were present, aud gave interesting and encouraging reports of branch activities during the past three months. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
