Kilbirnie R.S.A. Social

The members of the Kilbirnie, Lyall Bay and Melrose Auxiliary Committee, W.R.S.A., held an enjoyable social on Tuesday evening at the headquarters, 15 Bay Road. The programme comprised community singing led by Mr. G. F. East; recitations Mr. Leu Carruthers, and Mrs. W. J. Mouutjoy, jun.: song, Mr. 11. Tabiwi; solo dance, Alirss I’at Hastings; monologue, Mr. Ken Bruce; and a humorous talk by Mr. P. A. Coira. Miss Dorothy Robson was the accompanist. A competition “Jumbled Authors” was won by Mrs. P. Charteris and Mr. Brown. Mr. Ron Dennis and Mr. Roy Howe gave a very interesting display of table tennis. The members of the ladies committee served a delightful supper, after which there was dancing, the music being provided by Mr. Hooker and members of his family. Mr. G. F. East thanked the artists and all others who had assisted to provide an enjoyable evening.
