ESPERANTO CLUB

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place on Monday night in the Tararua Tramping Club’s Hall. Mr. V. J. Leek presided. Classes were organised under the direction of experienced teachers and satisfactory progress reported.' In the second portion of the evening entertaining Hawaiian items on the guitar were presented by Mr. J. Thomas and Mr. N. Hill. Miss Alice Phillips recited from “La Fundaments Krestomatio” a poem entitled “Nova Kanto." Mr. B. Potts gave an original monologue “Savanie Leouon,” in the role of S-ro Anatifo, the Spanish sailor. The concluding item was a conjuring performance presented by Mr. R. D. Saunders and Mr. F. A. Bailey.
