SIX HORSES FALL
Jockeys Not Seriously Injured
(Received July 24. 9.20 p.m.) Sydney, July 24. Six horses near the rear of the field crashed during the running of the Maiden Handicap for three and four-year-olds at Rosehill. One horse. Booral. broke its back and was killed, while another, Blighty, fractured a leg and had to be destroyed. There were 25 runners in the race. None of the jockeys was seriously hurt. The jockeys injured were; AA r . Gates, concussion and shock; J. McEvoy, broken collarbone; IT. Zensky. dislocated shoulder; R. Alarsden and R. Skelton, injuries to back. The stewards inquiry into the accident was adjourned until the jockeys are fit to give evidence.
