The chairman of the Unemployment Board. Air. W. Bromley, has spent two busy days in Gisborne. The provision of country work at standard rates in preference to town work on the No. o scheme or sustenance was the subject discussed with members of local bodies yesterday afternoon while to-day Mr. Bromley heard the complaints of a deputation of relief workers regarding the policy of the Unemployment Board and its effects upon the employment market of this district.
