Accident at Hastings

Hastings, July 24.

At about 6.45 this evening two motorcars came into violent collision at the intersection of Nelson Street and Heretaunga Street, Hastings. Dr. Gerald Faulkuer was approaching the intersection from Nelson Street North in b*s car, and Mr. Arthur Love, driving a light taxi, was proceeding along Heretaunga Street toward Stortford Lodge. Dr. Faulkner’s car struck the lighter car, forcing it against a telegrapa post and damaging the near side door and windscreen. Air. Love received abrasions to the head causing concussion. He was taken to Hastings Memorial Hospital in a semiconscious state. He is a married man, employed by Newrick Taxis, and resides in Queen Street Hastings. Dr. Faulkner escaped injury, and transported the injured man to hospital.
