Sale of Show Exhibits Dominion Special Service Palmerston North. June 20. As a direct contrast to the dullness of the sale of milking’'Shorthorns this morning. bidding was spirited for practically all liars at the fat stock sale of show exhibits, conducted under the auspices of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and I*. Association at the showgrounds this afternoon. The sale was quite satisfactory, values being on a par with recent sales. Purchasers came from a wide area. Milking Shorthorn. Sale Dominion Si’eciai Service. Palmerston North, June 20. Competition was most disheartening a’. the first annual sale of pedigree Milking Shorthorn cattle held at the Manawatu and West CoasVt Agricultural and Pas toral Association’s showgrounds to-day. under the auspices of the Taranaki-Wel-lington branch of the New Zealand Milking Shorthorn Association. The auctioneering was carried out by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. No doubt the period of the year had a detrimental effect upon the sale, only four lots being disposed of tinder the hammer of the 3,8 which came forward. AU animals came forward in good quality, and showed sound breeding. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile. Agency Company’s trophy for animals judged in groups of three prior to the sale by Mr. A.
