IN THE SHOPS
The newest novelty in adornments is “Champagne Jewellery,” states an Australian journal. This comes in the usual sets of rings, brooches, bracelets, clips and circular ear-rings which open on hinges and clip on to the ear. It is very aptly named as the foundation is of gilt metal studded with brilliants, the two combined capturing the effect of faintly amber liquid with its wellknown sparkle. A very novel and useful present is a “Weeding Mat” It actually is a square cushion made from brightly-coloured canvasxwith a loop on it for carrying or hanging up.on the porch (the canvas could match your porch chairs). These cushions are stuffed with straw and would be tremendously useful to the woman gardener.
