MARSDEN OLD GIRLS’ LONDON REUNION
“Mrs. Brown’s Little Tea Shop,” in Wardour Street, a favourite haunt of New Zealanders in London, was the scene of a very pleasant gathering on Saturday, May 25, when the London branch of the. Marsden School Old Girls’ Association held its third annual reunion tea-party. This was attended by nearly twice as many old girls as the previous year, the increase being due, no doubt, to the influx of New Zealand visitors to London for the jubilee. Among the thirty-two Old Girls and ex-mistresses who were present, the following are well known to many people in Wellington:—Misses Nancy and Valerie Beere, Miss G. SimonsBrown, Miss Muriel Brown, Miss Betty Bonsey:, Miss Molly Brice, Misses Betty and Molly Esson, Miss Esther Fisher, Mrs. F. Graham, Miss Moya Ilempton, Miss Peggy Lattey, Mrs. Eric Luke, Miss Molly Logan, Miss Constance Morice, Mrs. Myer, Miss Therle Oswin, Misses Marjorie and Nita Reid, Miss Elizabeth Atkinson. Misses Norma and Joyce Carpenter, Miss Valerie GrahamRobertson and Miss Joan Withy Miss Molly Esson and Miss Nita Reid were appointed joint secretaries of the branch for the coming year, to succeed Mrs. F. Graham and Miss Joan Withy.
