ORIENTAL ON TOP
With one game to play before promotion is considered, Oriental are in an unassailable position in the second division of the Wellington Rugby Union’s senior A grade championship. Present indications are that this year’s promotions will be Oriental and Johnsonville. The championship points for the six games completed are as follow:—Oriental 11, Johnsonville 10, Petone 8, St. Patrick’s College Old Boys 8, University 5, Miramar 4, Mel-rose-Selwyn 2, Berhamporo 0. The results of Saturday’s games were as follow:—Oriental, 9; Petone, 6. Johnsonville, 10; Miramar, 3, St. Patrick’s College Old Boys, 27; Berhampore, 0. University, 29; MelroseSelwyn, 5.
