CHILLED BEEF QUOTA
British Concession to Australia . INCREASE GRANTED London, April 10. The Dominions Office announces that it has been agreed between the Governments of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Australia that the shipments of chilled beef from Australia shall be increased to 56,000 cwt. for arrival in the United Kingdom from April to June, provided that the total shipments of frozen and chilled arriving in the quarter do not exceed 331,000. The Australian Press Association says that the agreement gratifies the Australian Ministers who have thus achieved their first definite result. It is understood that the agreement involves a corresponding British concession to the other Dominions.
