Three properties just acquired by the National Trust for the preservation of places of historic interest Include a beautiful wooded area at Rydal, in the Lake district, which once belonged to the poet Wordsworth, whose grandson has presented it to the nation. Other gifts include 19 acres of wood and heather upland near Westerham, Kent, and seven acres of land on the edge of the Cotswolds overlooking the Severn River.
