VALUABLE PUBLICITY
Work For New Zealand in England
“Inundated with folders" is how Sir Peter Leicester, who arrived by the Rangitiki yesterday morning with his wife and two daughters on a holiday visit to New Zealand, described his experience of the publicity work of the New Zealand Government in England, lie had not heard a great deal about this country, he said, but he had read such a large amount that he was looking forward to his month’s stay here. This was his first visit to New Zealand, but already as a result of the information placed at his disposal he had gained a certain knowledge of the country. He thought that New Zealand’s publicity in England was very good. While on the outward voyage Sir Peter celebrated his seventy-second birthday. The baronetcy was created in 1671, and Sir Peter is the eighth holder of the title. He has been a captain in the 51st King’s Own Light Infantry, but has now retired from public life.
