BEQUESTS TO CHURCH
Waimate Citizen’s Will By Telegraph.—Press Association. Tlnuiru, February 14. Bequests totalling £1395. chiefly to Homan Catholic organisations in Canterbury, are niade in the will of Mr. John Meehti.ii, Waimate, who left an estate- valued tit approximately £47,000. ‘ The chief items are:—£loo to Sisters of Mercy. South Dunedin: £lOO to Catholic Sisters of the Poor, Dunedin; £lOO to the New Zealand Institute for the Blind, Auckland: £lOO to the Catholic Sisters, Third Order (Regulat )of Mary, at Makogaf. for the purposes of tJie leper station. After providing for an annuity the residue is bequeathed to the trustee in perpetuity upon trust to apply the income each year for such charitable purpose and objects in the provincial district, of Canterbury as the Catholic Bishop of Christchurch shall direct.
