HOME OF COMPASSION GARDEN PARTY
To-day at the Home of Compassion, Island Bay, there is to be held a garden party, which it is hoped will augment the revenue of the sisters. Feeling that the friends of the various homes that have sprung from the work of the late Mother Mary Aubert and her loyal band of sisters are ever ready to help, the committee has done its best to assure them that there is great need for assistance to meet the increasing demands on the homes by the poor and invalided. New faces as well as old will be welcomed to-day. The homes are for those in need of help, irrespective of denomination, and free of charge. The poorer the inmate the greater is the welcome, for the homes are essentially for the poor, and particularly the invalided poor.
