APPEAL MADE IN BRITAIN
London, February 13.
A joint meeting of the councils of the Empire League, the Empire Producers’ organisations, the Empire Union of Industries Association, and the Empire Federation of Chambers-of Commerce unanimously decided to inaugurate a Jubilee Empire shopping week, ending qn May. 25. They appealed to retailers and housewives throughout the Empire to unite on a great demonstration of the Empire’s solidarity.
